SNAPS Super Stars Awards: October 2026

The SNAPS Super Stars Awards is annual party to celebrate all the amazing things our children, families and supporters can do. 

We encourage parents and carers to nominate their children and tell us about a special achievement that we can celebrate on the day. All children receive a certificate and a treat on the day.

Embark on the legendary Lyke Wake Walk

This is an epic 40-mile hike, starting at 10pm. Guided by moonlight and headtorches, you’ll trek through rugged moorland and steep hills from Osmotherley to Ravenscar, arriving Saturday afternoon.  

This challenging journey is more than a hike – it’s a test of endurance and a celebration of tradition!

Experience Leeds’ most picturesque outdoor areas and discover the hidden gems on your doorstep with the Great Leeds Walk 2026!  

With three choices of distance, The Great Leeds Walk will start and finish at The Leodiensian Rugby Club, taking you on a journey through urban spaces and the wonderful countryside of rural Leeds. 

You can choose to walk with a marshal or stride off on a solo adventure along the well-marked route.  

Choose your distance and join team SNAPS for an unforgettable adventure! 
  • 10 Miles: Perfect for those looking for a manageable yet rewarding walk. For this distance, the fundraising target is £100 (which could fund 1-2-1 physiotherapy or hydrotherapy sessions for two children). 
  • 18 Miles: A great middle-ground challenge to push your limits. Raise £150 – this amount could fund specialised 1-2-1 swimming lessons for 4 children
  • 25 Miles: The ultimate one-day endurance test for seasoned walkers. Fundraising target of  £200 (this amount could fund hydrotherapy sessions for four children). 
 What’s included: 
  • Comprehensive preparation: pre-event guidance and build-up treks to get you ready. 
  • Guided walk: walk alongside experienced guides and the supportive Overlimits team. 
  • Go solo: good with navigation? Use the route guide and reach checkpoints solo or with friends. 
  • Safety briefing: detailed pre-event briefing to ensure you’re fully prepared. 
  • Checkpoints: refresh at water checkpoints strategically located along each route. 
  • Completion medal: celebrate your achievement with a commemorative finisher’s medal. 
  • Support team: the Overlimits team is on-hand to provide encouragement and first aid if needed. 
  • Return transportation: minibus back to the start for those completing 10 + 17-mile routes. 

Please note, the route involves steps and uneven ground. Walkers must be aged 16 years or above on the day of the event.

SNAPS Superhero Challenge

An inclusive family fun day, giving children the opportunity to take part in a tailored fun run. Participants can walk, run or wheel around the track as far as they would like to. Everyone receives a medal and goodie bag for taking part in their own personal challenge. We want all our kids to feel like a superhero for the day!

Join us for what promises to be an adrenaline-fuelled experience, with unforgettable views as you abseil 235ft down Wainhouse Tower in Halifax – the tallest folly in the world – all while raising vital funds for SNAPS!

A spectacular, twin-line abseil, this event lets you descend side by side with friends, family, or colleagues #makingmemories!

At SNAPS, we receive no government funding to provide our services so we rely on kind, compassionate people like you to support us.

We are asking those taking part to try and raise as much sponsorship as they can, with a minimum sponsorship target of just £100. This would fund approximately two vital physiotherapy sessions for a child with additional needs, helping children like Henry…

The Leeds Half Marathon is one of Yorkshire’s biggest events of its kind.  

The much-loved run raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year and often attracts thousands of runners – could you take part in 2026 and raise funds for SNAPS? 

What makes the event such a joy to run is the crowds. Support for runners along the route is always phenomenal, whatever the weather. Every runner gets a boost from the cheers of encouragement they receive along the route. 

The Leeds Half is suitable for runners of all abilities and ages. With a fantastically vibrant atmosphere guaranteed, this run could be right up your street. 

So get yourself to Leeds and let’s see you on the start line.

Do your own thing for SNAPS

With your help, we can make the impossible, possible for children with additional needs! 

SNAPS helps around 180 families per month. Over 90% of families attending SNAPS see improved mental health for them and their children, improved feelings of isolation and improved feelings of happiness! 

It costs £47 to deliver one SNAPS physiotherapy session. As we receive no government funding to deliver our services, we rely on fundraising to deliver vital support to families.

An unforgettable adrenaline rush awaits! Experience the thrill of a tandem skydive, freefalling while securely harnessed to a BPA-qualified instructor. It’s guaranteed to be one of the most exhilarating moments of your life. 

How it works 

We partner with Skyline, a trusted skydiving operator, to handle all logistics. 

When you register, you’ll select your preferred airfield and jump date. After signing up, our team will contact you to plan your big day!

Costs 

Register for £70 and commit to raising £395 in sponsorship. 

Funds should be raised two weeks before your jump, as SNAPS is invoiced in advance. 

Haven’t hit your target? No problem! You can still jump by paying the skydive cost on the day (usually £200–£299, depending on location).
